Protests calling for divestment of Israel in the genocide of Palestine gathered at James N. Manly park in Denver’s Cherry Creek neighborhood on March 2nd. The efforts of event leaders represented participation in a “Global Day of Action” led by a coalition of the Palestinian Youth Movement, the International Peoples’ Assembly, Progressive International, ALBA Movimientos, Pan Africanism Today, La Via Campesina, World March of Women – Latin America, the Trade Union Confederation of the Americas, and the International League of People’s Struggle. Denver’s march led through the commercial shopping center of Cherry Creek before culminating in front of the Denver Bank of Montreal (BMO) branch. BMO had been recently exposed by The Breach for granting a $90 million dollar loan to an Israeli Weapons Manufacturer.
